Magellan Publications


Include the instrument name and observing dates in the text of your publications. It is also useful if the words “Magellan” and “Campanas” both to appear in the abstract. This helps with database searches.

Magellan attribution

The following text, adopted September 21, 2005 by the Magellan Council, should be included as a footnote to the title of papers that contain and use data taken with Magellan telescopes:

This paper includes data gathered with the 6.5 meter Magellan Telescopes located at Las Campanas Observatory, Chile.

LDSS3 DECam attribution

If the paper includes data using the DECam detector in LDSS3 then the following must be appended:

This work was supported in part by the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory which is operated by Fermi Research Alliance, LLC under Contract No. DE-AC02-07CH11359 with the United States Department of Energy.

TSIP attribution

If you obtained data through the AURA TSIP program, you should also put the following text in your acknowledgments paragraph at the end of your paper:
